Jordan Baraniecki, is a renowned artist hailing from Saskatoon, Canada. His ink collage paintings are a mesmerizing blend of intricate detail and three-dimensional aspects, inviting viewers to experience a unique relationship with scale. Biography
Jordan Baraniecki embarked on a non-linear journey for his Bachelors of Fine Art, attending three different universities across Canada. During this time, he earned scholarships and awards for his drawing skills at the University of Saskatchewan, ACAD U, and NSCAD U. Pursuing further academia, Pursuing further academia, Jordan obtained his Masters from Emily Carr University in 2022 with an emphasis on resurgence of post-pandemic Surrealism. Throughout his travels, he nurtured a profound appreciation for introspection, philosophy, and psychology, which now serve as undercurrents guiding his artistic process and forming the foundation of his work. Over the years, Jordan's artistry has garnered national and international recognition, with recent ventures into the NFT Marketplace. Notably, he exhibited at the esteemed Academy of Fine Art in Krakow, Poland. His creative talents have extended beyond the art world, collaborating with prominent entities such as Herschel Clothing and the Vancouver Opera on creative projects. He has also partnered with the 0x Society Gallery in Montreal to explore the realm of NFTs. Not forgetting his roots, Jordan dedicated a year to an artist residency at the historic Bunkhouse in his hometown.

What do you listen to when you work?
I'm a sucker for film scores, which I've been compiling on Spotify for four years!
Why is art important to you?
I think it unlocks–for the artist–a way to communicate the observations of the world different. And, when an artist has done a good job of removing themselves from the final work, it is open for the viewer to have whatever experience they have with it.
Describe the person your work appeals to in 3 words
Love of color.
When did you start making art, and why?
I started making art as a last resort in highschool back in 2008, when I wasn't cut out for basketball. Photography was my first love and it saved me from wandering mindlessly.
